Hello, Bonjour, Hola and welcome to See My Travels! 

My name is Alison and this blog follows my journey as I seek to find the right balance between career, life and travel in my late 20s. I started See My Travels out of a love for travel and all of the amazing, life-changing experiences it can bring. In May 2012, I left my journo job in England to travel solo around Canada for several months. This was the best decision I ever made. 

Travel opened my eyes, cleared my head, soothed my soul and reignited my passion for life. 

Now that I’m back in Liverpool, doing the full-time career thing as an online copywriter, I try to fit as much travel as possible into my spare time and regularly write about my fabulous home city as well. I’ve also got enough travel stories to keep me writing retrospectively for many, many years! 

What began as a platform for me to share travel stories and photographs has now morphed into more of a travel and lifestyle blog. 

While travel is very much at the heart of this site, I also want to write about other subjects that are part of my life. This could be anything from music, art, food, health and fitness to fashion, interior design, and, erm, even cats! 

Or, the posts could even be as random as hugging cast iron sculptures on a beach…
