Seattle Olympic Sculpture Park – Art and Nature

While looking through my travel photos recently, I realised I never wrote about the incredible sculpture park in Seattle. I published posts about being ‘drugged up’ on the ferry ride from Victoria and visiting the Jimi Hendrix Memorial. I reviewed the Green Tortoise Hostel – an amazing budget stay amid the iconic Pike Place Market featuring beds with curtains. Yet I never got around to writing about this great free Seattle sight.

The beautifully-landscaped 9-acre park is located on the stunning waterfront with the Olympic Mountains as a breathtaking backdrop. It is popular with visitors and locals alike. Joggers, walkers, people relaxing on the benches or sunbathing on the grass, groups of friends and families having picnics – this space definitely provides a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of the fast-paced city.

Take a look at the following images to see some of the sculptures.
