The Albert Dock is one of my favourite locations in Liverpool. It is located next to the River Mersey and comprises of converted Georgian warehouses that now house sophisticated bars, cafes and art galleries.
Tate Liverpool, Merseyside Maritime Museum and The Beatles Story are among the star attractions at the Albert Dock. But a bracing walk along the lovely waterfront is also a must. Just a few blocks down the road, you will find the Pier Head where the famous Liver Birds iconically adorn the Royal Liver Building. On a fun note, there is a Yellow Submarine barge to delight the hoards of Beatles fans that regularly descend on Liverpool.
Besides the nostalgic and creative elements of this part of the city, the Albert Dock is also a great spot for nightlife. There is a very sophisticated bar scene, along with a good selection of quality restaurants.
Does the Albert Dock sound like somewhere you’d like to visit? Or have you been here already? If so, what did you think?
