I was standing amid a crowd at dusk, waiting for a light show to begin at the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, when a different kind of illumination caught my eye.
Scaffolding on historic buildings can often be a blunder when trying to get a decent shot. However, here was a scene where this architectural anomaly actually added an interesting element – especially with a dark figure standing in front, looking up in anticipation of the projections to come.
I took many photographs of Canada’s impressive capital city Ottawa, but this is one of my favourites.
Do you like this photograph? Have you been to Ottawa or would you like to go?

Great shot!
