Rue Des Artistes: An Artists’ Haven In Montreal

I’ve already produced a photo essay on Montreal street art. This French Canadian city is buzzing with creativity, especially along Rue Des Artistes in Old Montreal.

This is a small street where artists can sell their pieces. If the weather is dry, you might be able to see artists at work. I spotted a painter busy capturing a colourful street scene.

Although there is a sign saying Rue Des Artistes, this artistic centre is actually located on a narrow street off Place Jacques-Cartier called Rue St-Amable. While I couldn’t afford any of the art, it was nice to have a browse and take some photographs.

Have you been to Montreal? What were your highlights?
