Have you ever wondered what Canada’s Arctic looks like during the summer months? While it is the polar bears and the beluga whales that pull in the tourists, there is also an abundance of breathtaking scenery to be enjoyed.

At this time of the year, before the tundra begins to ice over again, the landscape is colourful and lush. 

Here are some photographs I took in Churchill, Manitoba – the polar bear capital of the world – when I visited in August:

    • Thanks Claire, your country is so big! I knew it was, but never realised just how vast it was until I got there. Churchill is well worth the effort I think to see the landscape, wildlife and way of life up there.
