A couple of squirrels can be seen frolicking beneath a soft canopy of trees shading the picturesque Parc La Fontaine in Montreal.
I am seated on one of many of the benches dotted along the path, watching an almost continuous rainbow of bicycles zoom past, in front of an attractive blue and yellow building façade, complete with flowery plant pots decorating the windows.
The whole scene feels very sophisticated and Parisian here at the heart of the French Canadian province of Quebec.
Yellowish leaves are beginning to carpet the ground in places and some fly gracefully through the air, gently being carried by the wind in an attractive flurry.
It is a boiling hot day and people are soaking up the rays, yet there are clear signs that Autumn is on its way.
One thing for certain: Montreal is a city of cyclists.
I have never seen anything like it. Everybody appears to be cycling and there are bicycles absolutely everywhere.
I could harp on all day about how beautiful I have found Montreal to be, in the short amount of time I have been here.
But, I think this point could be better demonstrated through photography.

Always like hanging out in the plateau, walking the dog in lafontaine, great city.
The Plateau seemed like a fun part of the city with loads going on. That was one of the places I got lost on a Friday evening and there was a great buzz there.
