Spring Is A Great Time To Travel: #frifotos

Spring has finally sprung. With this rejuvinating season comes light mornings  and evenings, crisp air, bright blue skies, beautiful blooms of flowers and lots of baby animals.

The long, dark days of winter are over and there is an explosion of life and colour.

In the countryside, fields are illuminated with bright yellow rapeseed and baby lambs can be seen playfully running around.

Daffodils pop up everywhere and trees filled with cherry blossom add a subtle sweetness to the air… and provide a nice picture for the eyes.

Spring is a great time to go on holiday. This season provides the perfect conditions for walking – whether this is hiking in the hills or navigating a city.

This week’s #frifotos theme is Spring so here are some images related to this sprightly season, along with some snapshots of some of the locations I have enjoyed visiting at this time of the year…

How lovely is this cherry blossom tree in Lincolnshire, England? I always go for a walk on my lunch break at work and this caught my eye.

Another photo I captured during my lunch break… a lovely window display of daffodils.

The Isle of Man is beautiful in the Spring as the countryside is brightened up with wildflowers. These shots were taken during a walk around Laxey and the surrounding hills.

Paris was perfect in the Spring. Warm, but not too hot to walk around all day and take in all of the amazing sights.

I love visiting my parents at home in Liverpool during the Spring. My mum is an avid gardener and her herbaceous borders and pots are always overflowing with flowers.

Lovely photos. The cherry blossom is gorgeous! I do hope I get to see Paris in the spring someday. I’ve been there twice in winter (I’m not complaining), but there must be something very special about in the spring.

Thanks Cathy, I visited Paris in May which is a great month to visit. I know people who’ve gone in summer and found it too hot to walk around all day – had to keep popping into places to get refreshments.

Spring is a great time and you have some great pictures of it. I like the ones of Laxey. Though your intro promises pictures of baby animals and lambs frolicking, and yet no pictures of them. :(

Cheers Andrew, ha ha, I wish I had some pics of some cute lambs. I always seen them when on my way to work on the bus and it’s a quick glance and an ‘awww’ before whiz right past.
