Spring Photo Essay: Daffodils, Daffodils, Daffodils

Spring has finally arrived and there is one sure sign that this sprightly season is underway. Daffodils are sprouting up in gardens, bursting out of hanging baskets and window displays and sporadically popping up in grass verges and fields.

Daffodils are amongst my favourite flowers and seeing these yellow blooms never fails to improve my mood.

So in the hope of brightening up somebody’s day, here are some pictures I captured in the market town of Horncastle, Lincolnshire…

Do you like seeing daffodils? Do they help cheer you up after a cold, dark winter?

Daffodils are one of my favourites too. (Tied with tulips) What fabulous pictures! Thanks for sharing. They certainly do cheer one up.

Ha ha, it’s like flower therapy (I’m sure this actually exists!). I really like tulips as well. It’s a shame I won’t be in Ottawa around Spring as heard the tulips are gorgeous there.

Aww no I hope the Canadian spring hurries up and lots of daffs start appearing, and it warms up a wee bit as well which is always nice :-)
