A Look Inside Edinburgh Castle: Photos

The rooms inside Edinburgh Castle are visually stunning and dressed beautifully with fine furniture, paintings and plenty of lavishness and colour.

The most striking room is the Great Hall, which has bright red walls adorned with all kinds of medieval weaponry. This room was completed in 1511 and was commissioned by King James IV.

This is where state celebrations were held, including a banquet in honour of Charles I the night before he was crowned King of Scots in 1633.

I really liked the fireplace in this room.
